Concert Band

Concert Band is designed for intermediate to advanced musicians who want to explore the full spectrum of band literature—from classical masterworks to contemporary compositions. Students will develop advanced performance techniques and deepen their musical understanding through challenging repertoire.

Performance Opportunities:

• 3-4 concerts annually (Fall, Winter, MPA, Spring)
• NC Music Performance Assessment (MPA) in spring semester
• All-District Band auditions
• Regional Honor Band opportunities

This ensemble provides a rigorous musical education while preparing students for advanced performance opportunities and competitive auditions.

Beginning Band

Beginning Band welcomes students with little to no prior instrumental experience. This foundational class builds essential musical skills and prepares students for advancement to Concert Band.

Perfect for:

• Students new to band instruments
• Musicians wanting to learn a secondary instrument
• Anyone eager to begin their musical journey

Students develop fundamental skills in rhythm, tone production, music reading, and ensemble playing in a supportive environment focused on building confidence and competence.
